Sustainability at LILIÈRE
We will not call ourselves sustainable.
We will show you the work.
The word has been used so often, so loosely, that it has come to mean almost nothing.
So instead, a quieter promise.
Silk, chosen carefully
We begin with mulberry silk.
Soft. Luminous. Held to standards higher than the industry default — OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, GOTS — so the fibre against your skin is clean, and the hands that wove it were treated with care.
The unglamorous part of luxury. The part that matters most.
Fewer pieces. Better pieces. Worn for years.
Own less. Own beautifully.
Each LILIÈRE piece is made to outlast its season — to be worn, restyled, and kept for a very long time. Cuts considered. Finishes precise. Fabrics chosen for the years ahead, not the moment.
This is the slow, unfashionable kind of fashion. The only kind worth making.
Respect for people and process
Behind every garment, skilled hands.
We work only with partners who share our standards — safe conditions, fair practices, quiet craftsmanship. We choose them slowly, and we stay.
What comes next
We do not claim perfection. We commit to progress.
In the seasons ahead — deeper traceability, lower-impact packaging, a material library that grows to include responsibly sourced wool and cashmere. Including, where it makes sense, fibres grown closer to home. Australian and New Zealand wool is among the finest in the world. We intend to honour that.
We will share the journey as it unfolds. Not as a campaign. As a record.
A quieter kind of luxury
Present in the silk we choose, the makers we work with, and the pieces we ask you to keep.
This is what luxury should mean now.
